Food and Nutrition Services
Good nutrition is an important part of our patients’ healing process and general well-being. Our Food and Nutrition Service Department is committed to provide nourishing, well-balanced, satisfying, pleasantly presented meals in a timely fashion. Patient meals are served during the following hours:
- Breakfast: 7:15 to 9:30am
- Lunch: 11:15am to 1:30pm
- Dinner: 4:15pm to 6:30pm
Patient menu selections are provided through our Preferred Dining Program, a personalized approach to your dining experience centered on you and with your assigned Preferred Dining Host. For each meal, your Host will guide you through your menu selections recommending meals and menu options that are prepared taking into consideration the special dietary restrictions you may have due to your physical or medical condition
Family members and friends may order and purchase a guest meal through your Menu Host. The Menu Host will make arrangements for your guests dining selection and the meal will be delivered to the bedside when your meal is delivered.Clinical Nutrition
Our team of Registered Dietitians (RD) works closely with physicians, nurses and other clinical areas and departments to provide the best nutritional care. Our goal is to improve patient outcomes by providing services that include nutrition screening, nutrition assessment, enteral (tube feeding) and parenteral (IV) nutrition management and planned interventions for patients identified as being at nutrition risk. In collaboration with the physician, the interventions are based on established clinical nutrition standards and evidence-based best practice.
